There are many toys available to buy or even make up yourself to help your kitties play and remain stimulated enough to stave off boredom and weight gain....kickers, wands, balls, interactive games, laser pens or the good old toilet roll inner to name a few.
As a multi-cat household of varying ages and needs our pride has an array of toys, many bought or made by myself. Over the years I have tried various cat treat dispensers as a hunting aid but I have to say with not much success until earlier this year when I was after something for the MC's to use, being an highly intelligent breed they need plenty of interaction to keep them from becoming bored.
I love looking, buying and making things for our cats as much as I love looking and shopping for my arts and crafts, so much so that my husband once commented that they get more spent on them than he does.
So when I was browsing my favourite supplier Zooplus to put in our latest order up popped this pipolino anti-stress home trainer. It was part of their offers that month and although a lot more money than I'd usually pay out I was intrigued. It looked very robust and the reviews swung it for me. I added 2 to the basket along with everything else and looked forward to them arriving.
I have to say I was taken aback when I opened the parcels as although I had read the size of the pipolino it hadn't actually registered with me what that size was in reality. It's BIG....25cms long with a diameter of 10cms and weighs over 500g or just over 1lb when empty.
From filling with treats, to changing the 6 settings of difficulty, to taking apart for cleaning this has been money well spent and I can see how it would definitely help with weight control for cats that need to cut back on the amount of food they have to having to 'hunt' for it.
